How to Create Keyword Autoresponders

Keyword autoresponders allow you to automatically respond or trigger a call based on incoming messages with keywords you can define.

For example a lead texts the keyword home1. Callingly can then automatically respond with a personalized message about the property with a link to view the property. Keyword autoresponders are for inbound messages only.

Creating your first keyword autoresponder

  1. Navigate to the Numbers page.
  2. Click the "SMS Settings" button of the number you'd like to configure
  3. Click the blue "New Autoresponder" button.
  4. Fill out each of the sections:
    1. Keyword: The specific keyword (case insensitive). The entire message must match the keyword.
    2. Message: This message which will be sent to the lead. This field can be personalized.
    3. Assign a Team - The team which will be called if call the lead is enabled
    4. Call the lead - if enabled a call will be triggered after the SMS is sent
  5. Click the blue "Save" button in the bottom right.
