Understanding Invoices
You can find your invoices on the Billing page of your Callingly account. This page will show you when you’ll receive your next bill and how much it will cost. Here you can also download invoices from past payments. Your invoice might contain any of the following line items.
- First #. The number of base users included in your account. These are always billed at your plan’s flat rate.
- # and above. The number of additional users in your account. The cost per extra user is reflected on the invoice.
- Purchased numbers. The total line access cost for all numbers in your account. These are charged at $3 per line per month.
- Usage. For customers outside the US, this is the charge billed to us from Twilio (our telephony service provider) for your minutes usage. More on this is below.
Additional fees
Minutes
Our plans come with unlimited US minutes, so if you’re in the US, you aren’t billed anything additional for minute-based usage. Use 5 minutes or 50,000 hours of talk time each month: it makes no difference to us!
If you’re not in the US, we use Twilio to manage our telephony services, so the standard rates for Twilio in your country are applicable. Specifically, the rates are those found near the bottom of the page under the heading IN DEPTH.
The minutes used each month will be added to your invoice the following month.
Example
You signed up on January 1, 2267. You paid $49 at the time of sign-up, covering your account costs for you and one additional user for January.
You’re located in The Netherlands and used 500 minutes of outbound call time during January. At the time, the cost per minute advertised by Twillio was $0.0170/min, totaling $8.50 for talk time. This amount will be reflected on your next invoice.

Common questions
What payment methods can I use?
We accept payments from all major credit and debit cards.
Do your plans include VAT/GST?
Callingly doesn’t fall under VAT/GST laws as a US-based company. Therefore those taxes aren’t charged.
I canceled my plan. Why was I still charged?
When you cancel your plan, we stop services when your plan runs out. That means if you use the service during the final days of your plan, you could still incur call usage charges. Those will be billed after your account closes. If you still have questions, get in touch! We’re happy to help.
