Integrate Callingly With GoHighLevel
| Two-way integration | Automatic trigger | Two-way owner sync |
Callingly connects to your GoHighLevel account, automatically calling new contacts as they come in. Call results, recordings, and text messages are then synced back to GoHighLevel, and lead owners can be kept in sync between the two platforms.
Owners and Admins can enable integrations. Approx. reading time 5 min.
Connect Callingly to GoHighLevel
You'll initiate the connection between Callingly and GoHighLevel from the Callingly side.
- 1.
- Navigate to the New Integration page.
- 2.
- Click the Connect button next to the GoHighLevel integration option. You'll be taken to GoHighLevel to authorize the connection.
- 3.
-
Choose the sub-account (location) you want to connect on the GoHighLevel authorization screen.
Caution: You must connect from a specific sub-account, not the agency level. If you authorize at the agency level, the connection won't complete and you'll be asked to choose a sub-account (location) instead. - 4.
- Authorize the connection. GoHighLevel will connect and redirect you back to Callingly.
Choose Options
Now that your integration is installed, you can set up a few options. This is where you can also change options in the future.
Name
The name of your integration. If using multiple instances of an integration with the same app, it's a good idea to change this to something more descriptive.

How Calling Is Triggered
Callingly starts calling a GoHighLevel contact automatically when the contact's Source matches one of your routing rules. When you first connect, Callingly creates routing rules for the lead sources already in your account, so your existing sources are covered.
To review or change which sources start a call — and which team they route to — click Routing in your GoHighLevel integration settings. Contacts whose source doesn't match a routing rule won't be called, so you have full control over which leads Callingly dials.
You can also route on a contact's Tags. A tag counts whether the contact was created with it or a GoHighLevel workflow added it within an hour of creating the contact. Tagging an older contact won't start a call.
Stop Calling a Contact
You can stop a contact from being called at any time by applying the Callingly - Stop Calls tag to that contact in GoHighLevel. This cancels any scheduled calls and retries for that contact, and it works whether you apply the tag by hand or from a GoHighLevel workflow.
Create the tag in GoHighLevel the same way you create any other tag — Callingly recognizes any tag containing both "callingly" and "stop", so Callingly - Stop Calls, Callingly Stop, and similar names all work.
Sync Lead Owner
If you opt to have your lead owners synced between Callingly and GoHighLevel, you'll need to associate each Callingly user with their GoHighLevel user.
To do this, from your Callingly dashboard:
- 1.
- Go to the Users page of your Callingly account.
- 2.
- Click the Edit button for the user you want to change.
- 3.
- Select the correct user via the dropdown menu under the GoHighLevel User heading.
- 4.
- Save your changes.
- 5.
- Repeat these steps for every Callingly user.
Next Steps
- Test the integration. During your team's call hours (step 2 sets them), create a new contact in GoHighLevel with a source that matches one of your routing rules and a phone number that isn't on your team. If your sequence starts with the AI Agent (the only call option on accounts that signed up directly since Sep 26, 2026, not through an agency), have a teammate ready to take the transfer, then pick up that phone and play the lead. The AI Agent asks any qualifying questions you've set, then warm-transfers you to your teammate. If your sequence rings your team first, you'll get a call on your own phone instead: answer it and press 1 to call the lead. Either way, with Sync Calls on, the team member's call shows up on the contact in GoHighLevel with a link to the recording.
- Set the call schedule. Be sure to set the schedule for when your team can receive calls. This way, nobody will receive a call outside of work hours.
Common Questions
I use a white-labeled version of GoHighLevel. Is that supported?
Yes. White-labeled GoHighLevel accounts (often branded as LeadConnector) connect exactly the same way. Follow the steps in the Connect section above.
Why aren't my new contacts being called?
Callingly only calls contacts whose Source matches a routing rule. Open the Routing tab in your GoHighLevel integration settings and confirm there's a rule for the source your contacts are coming in with. See How Calling Is Triggered above.
How do I stop a contact from being called?
Apply the Callingly - Stop Calls tag to the contact in GoHighLevel. This cancels any scheduled calls and retries for that contact. See Stop Calling a Contact above.
How do I connect if I have multiple sub-accounts?
Connect from the specific sub-account (location) whose contacts you want to call. To call contacts from more than one sub-account, connect the GoHighLevel integration once for each.
